OFFICE & FISCAL COORDINATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Team: Administration/Management

Reports to: Director of Office & Fiscal Operations

Pay Rate: $25 – $35/hr., depending on experience

Service Area: Main Office

Travel Required: Rarely

Position Type: Part-time, exempt

Role and Responsibilities

The duties listed below are intended as examples of the types of work that may be performed
by the Office & Fiscal Coordinator but are not all necessarily performed and do not include all
specific functions and responsibilities that the Office & Fiscal Coordinator may be expected to
perform.

  • Process mail, including bills; and other agency correspondence, electronic mail, and replies to general inquiries.
  • Manage the primary agency phone line and greet visitors at the door, as needed.
  • Manage email distribution lists.
  • Order and stock office supplies.
  • Maintain the organization’s phone & email systems, shared office calendars, and hard drive space.
  • Act as support liaison with I/T vendor, copier vendor, and other vendors as needed.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment, orientation, and benefits management, to include serving as point of contact for benefits providers.
  • Assist in managing employee time and attendance tracking.
  • Assist the Director of Office & Fiscal Operations as needed/required.
  • • Support agency fundraising efforts as needed and available.
  • Accept and perform other work as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent, with administrative, bookkeeping, and/or human resources experience preferred. Understanding of nonprofit funding and bookkeeping, as well as experience with state contracts and grants management also preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including but not limited to the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and QuickBooks, as well as Zoom/Skype and other distance meeting resources; must possess a willingness to learn about and use new tools as they become available.
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently and with supervision, on-site and remotely.
  • Embrace an understanding of justice involvement that acknowledges the impact of institutional racism and the systemic oppression of Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color, women, and LGBTQ+ people; must share the belief that people can change in positive ways.
